When SNEHA opened its gates for the first time in 1994 the teachers there were working in two classrooms built on land that was still being paid for.
These days, with a much–expanded building, over 1000 students from nursery to Class 12 turn out every day to receive their education. Saphara supports the school through building classrooms, paying teachers and sponsoring pupils among many other initiatives. The story of SNEHA’s creation and its work in the community is always an emotional highlight of the trip and we want to let Dr Reeta Rao herself, founder of the organisation, to tell you about it.
“If there is an 8th wonder in the world, it is SNEHA.”
