Today was an amazing day.
We saw the vivid contrast between life in the marginalized community (slum is actually the only word for this – but we use this term out of respect for those living there) and the oasis that is SNEHA school. The challenge of the day for me was to see 110 children from the poorest families who until recently have been sponsored by the government to go to SNEHA. A corrupt official has cut this funding so now SNEHA has to find sponsors for these children. This is something SO important – and both the Saphara women and student teams are looking for sponsors for these children – let us know if you can help with £15 per month – or whatever you can afford. Thanks.Posted in Christine
